Innovasic Ethernet / IP network interface has passed ODVA conformance test

Innovasic announced that its RapID Platform EtherNet / IP Network Interface, which is suitable for beacon-based device-level ring (DLR), has passed the ODVA conformance test. Tests have shown that Innovasic's solution supports beacon rates as low as 100 µs, and can achieve failure recovery and ring network recovery time of less than 10ms. For any host processor or host application connected to the RapID platform, joining the device-level ring is transparent.

As with all network interface protocol versions, the Ethernet / IP version suitable for device-level ring networks uses PriorityChannel technology. PriorityChannel eliminates the impact of network traffic load and ensures that real-time Ethernet / IP information is always processed on time every time. Field devices that include Innovasic's network interface solution will not be affected by unpredictable packet delays, excessive delays, and connection failures, and there is no need to worry about network segmentation or switch configuration.
