State Grid Energy Institute exchanges with the French power delegation on the development of smart grid

On November 2nd, the State Grid Energy Research Institute received a delegation from the French Electric Power Company (EDF) to exchange ideas on the strategic planning and development of the smart grid, as well as the concepts and achievements of the French power grid in the smart grid field. Hu Zhaoguang, Deputy Dean of the State Grid Energy Institute attended the meeting, and officials from the Research and Development Department of the State Grid Energy Institute and the Smart Grid participated.

The researchers of the Institute of Smart Grid of the State Grid Energy Institute briefed the French side on the core concepts, strategic planning and development of China's strong smart grid, and the main work and latest progress of the Institute of Energy in the smart grid field. Representatives from France and France introduced the background, strategy and implementation priorities of the development of smart grids in France and the EU. They also introduced in detail the main focus and important research results of the French side in promoting smart grid construction. Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the progress and effectiveness of the smart grid demonstration project, the development trend of electric vehicle technology, research and development and application of energy storage technologies, and user demand side response and incentive policies.

Finally, the two parties stated that they will further strengthen their ties in the future and leverage on their strengths to strive for in-depth cooperation in smart grid related fields.
