Google TV starts shipments this month

According to foreign media reports, Intel CEO Paul Otellini said on Thursday that Google TV products will start shipping "this month."

According to industry sources, it is not clear that Otellini refers to whether consumers can start buying this product from this month, or whether Google’s hardware partners will start shipping to the retail channel from this month. Google spokesman said only that Google TV is expected to be released this fall.

Google TV, a combination of hardware and software, was designed to achieve the long-standing goal of the technology industry, namely to enter the television industry currently dominated by cable and satellite television companies. At this year’s Google I/O Developer Conference, Google released software for the product. At a recent meeting, Google revealed that the product will be released in October.

Otellini said that compared with Apple TV, Google TV is more attractive to young people because "it is cool"; and Apple TV is more attractive to our parents because of its ease of use.
