The Dongfeng Citroen Tianyi SUV officially ended its production at the Shenlong plant in Chengdu on July 19th and is set to be officially launched on September 15. This new model features the latest "flying wing" front design, with a headlight system that incorporates the Air Wing Tianyi lamp group. The design includes Tianyi LED daytime running lights and a stereo matrix-type LED headlight system, both seamlessly integrated into the grille. Inspired by Citroen's leading comfort concept, the interior boasts the "La maison exclusive cockpit," featuring a large amount of two-tone leather materials for an elegant and luxurious feel.
The Tianyi SUV is equipped with two turbocharged engines: the 1.6THP and 1.8THP. The 1.6THP engine delivers a maximum power of 123 kW and a peak torque of 245 Nm, while the 1.8THP offers a higher output of 150 kW and 280 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.
Citroen’s new small SUV, the C3 AIRCROSS, is the production version of the previous C-Aircross concept car. It sits slightly above the C3-XR in terms of positioning, offering a more stylish and youthful look. The C3 AIRCROSS will be launched in Europe later this year and will be locally produced by Dongfeng Citroen in 2018. Its design closely follows the sleek and cute style of the concept car, giving it a modern and distinctive appearance. Powering the vehicle is a 1.2T turbocharged petrol engine matched with a six-speed automatic transmission, providing a balance between efficiency and performance.
The C3-XR was the first SUV introduced by Dongfeng Citroen and has become one of the brand's most popular models. Launched on December 21, 2014, it received a major redesign in November 2016. Targeted at younger consumers, the C3-XR is defined by three core values: strength, ambiguity, and beauty. Currently, there are 11 models available in the market, with prices ranging from 10.88 to 17.18 million yuan.
