In the next few years, with the gradual maturity of LED technology, it will be more widely used in the general lighting field such as indoor, road, and construction. Recently, the first LED general lighting product and technology seminar jointly organized by China Lighting Institute and Shenzhen Zhongming Semiconductor Lighting Co., Ltd. was held in Beijing. The meeting invited the leaders of relevant national ministries and commissions and lighting industry experts and scholars to participate in more than 300 people. At the meeting, industry experts made academic reports on the status quo and trends of China's semiconductor lighting development, application of LED indoor lighting products, key points of China's new LED standards, and LED-related standards in countries such as Europe and the United States. The participants agreed that LED has a very broad prospect in the field of indoor lighting.

Energy-saving space has broad prospects for development

With the rapid development of the economy, the use of electricity for lighting accounts for a larger proportion of total social energy consumption. Increasing lighting efficiency and saving energy has become an important means to ease the strain on electricity use. LED is known as "green energy," and does not contain mercury, lead and Other substances that are harmful to the environment and human body. Under the same brightness, it consumes only 1/10 of the power of an ordinary incandescent lamp, and its lifetime can be extended by 50 times. It is precisely because of this that since the new century, the country has vigorously promoted LED products. In 2003, China launched the "National Semiconductor Lighting Project." In 2009, it also launched the "Ten Thousand Cities, Ten Thousand Miles" program to advance the application of LED. Some experts predict that by 2015, the annual electricity savings will be 40 billion kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to an annual reduction of 40 million tons of carbon dioxide.

Wang Jinmin, director of the China Lighting Association, said at the forum that LED technology, as a green, energy-saving lighting product, has gradually matured and has begun to move from the field of instruction, display and decoration to general lighting. With the continuous improvement of its technology, its development prospects will be even broader. Nguyen Jun, deputy secretary-general of the National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance, also pointed out that in the past 10 years, LED has seen rapid development and performance has increased by 10 times. At present, the most advanced LED products in the world, the luminous efficiency can reach 200lm / W. By 2020, LED is expected to occupy 80% of the lighting market share. Under the guidance of the country’s macroeconomic policies, LED technology has been accelerating and the industry has been continuously upgraded. The LED demonstration effect has gradually emerged, and products have gradually improved, and the application of indoor lighting has become more mature.

The rapid development of domestic enterprises

The "Opinions on the development of semiconductor lighting energy-saving industry" promulgated in 2009 clearly stated that by 2015, the average annual growth of the semiconductor lighting energy-saving industry output value will be about 30%. Large-scale MOCVD equipment, key raw materials, and more than 70% of chips will be localized, and the upstream chip There are 35 large-scale production enterprises. This undoubtedly brings tremendous room for development to domestic enterprises.

Jun Jun said that under the guidance of macroeconomic policies, domestic companies have begun to gradually shift from the initial OEM to the ODM model. At present, China's LED industry chain has gradually improved, the industry has begun to take shape, and the localization rate of chips has been continuously improved. Compared with the situation where foreign brands stood out just a few years ago, now in the mid-to-high end market, there is also a place for domestic brands.

For this point of view, Xue Xinyi, chairman of Shenzhen Zhongming Semiconductor Lighting Co., Ltd., made a strong case for his company's products. In an interview, he said that at present, LED products of internationally renowned brands such as Philips and OSRAM can achieve luminous flux of 800lm and power of 12W, and Zhongming R&D LED can reduce the power to 9.5W under the condition of ensuring 800lm luminous flux. This replaces the 60W incandescent lamp. It can be seen that in the competition with the international giants of the lighting industry, domestic brands not only did not look inferior, but they also took their own path of development.

To achieve a long-term development, an enterprise must always adhere to brand autonomy and possess core scientific research strength. Xue Xinshui, President of Zhongming Company Marketing, said that Zhongming Company always insists on the research and development, promotion and application of high-tech energy-saving products, and the technical indicators have passed CE, UL, TUV, ROHS certification. The company invests at least 25% of the annual turnover for the research and development of products and cutting-edge technology. At present, it has more than one hundred patents. The company's own product 7W A60 color rendering index can reach 90%, luminous flux of 500lm or more (including power), does not contain ultraviolet and infrared, suitable for use in hospitals, libraries, museums and other places; the company also developed Products that can adjust the color temperature of light based on the environment can be adjusted to a warmer color temperature (2700K) in winter, and can be adjusted to a cooler color temperature (6000K) in summer to suit different needs.

It is precisely because of the continuous efforts of such a group of domestic enterprises who are determined to possess core scientific research strength. The situation in which Jiangshan has monopolized the international brands of high-end and middle-end markets has begun to change quietly.

Promotion should be gradual and the market is still to be perfected

At present, the development of LED technology is changing with each passing day. According to experts in the industry, LED promotion should be more prudent in this situation, and in particular, lighting locations matching the current LED technology should be selected for application. At the forum, Ren Yuanhui, honorary director of the China Lighting Institute's Indoor Lighting Professional Committee, said that the promotion of LEDs in general lighting needs to be gradual. For example, in the current promotion of road lighting LED, the technology is not yet fully mature, but also failed to achieve some of the theoretical claims compared to high-pressure sodium lamps can achieve 80% of the effect of energy savings. Therefore, it is now possible to try out promotion on some roads and residential roads first, instead of embracing them from the beginning and taking a steady development path. He suggested that it can be promoted in indoor lighting first, and LED energy-saving advantages in this field are obvious. Ren Yuanhui said that the several light bulbs on display at the forum can completely replace spotlights, incandescent lamps, and crystal lamps in hotel lighting. The application of LEDs in these fields is a matter of course and can be promoted on a large scale. use.

As far as the LED industry is concerned, despite the current good momentum of development, it still has to face up to its existing problems. Qi Jun pointed out that there are still many problems in the industry that need to be resolved: for example, there is still a lack of standards and testing methods, some of the pilot applications have poor product quality, energy saving effects are difficult to achieve, and exploration of engineering implementation methods that adapt to the market economy system is not enough. In the project, a large number of products from foreign companies are used to drive the local chip companies. In some areas, the low-level redundant construction is serious. If these problems can be solved gradually, it can promote more benign development of the LED industry.
