AR education platform has gained millions of dollars in angel round of financing

According to VR editors, AR Education has successfully secured millions of dollars in funding from Angel Capital, thanks to its unique and diverse technology. This round of financing is primarily intended for brand development, intellectual property (IP) acquisition, and expanding the team. The company is making significant strides in the children's education and entertainment sector by leveraging augmented reality (AR) to transform traditional books into interactive experiences.

Founded in 2015, Chuangqu Technology has positioned itself as a three-dimensional AR education platform aimed at enhancing both learning and entertainment for kids. By integrating AR technology with content, they create engaging experiences that bring stories to life. For example, they use popular video IP images to develop cross-media content, turning books into immersive adventures. Recently, they signed a major film IP deal for "The Three Little Pigs," alongside collaborations with well-known children’s book publishers like "Antarctic Bear" and "Our Planet."

With government policies encouraging digital innovation in the publishing industry, AR is becoming a key trend in transforming traditional books. AR not only enhances how educational content is presented but also allows children to interact with virtual objects and games during learning. This interactive approach satisfies their curiosity and makes reading more engaging through gamification. Over the years, Chuangqu has built a strong foundation in children’s publishing, developed an interactive system, and formed deep partnerships with publishers, significantly improving the appeal and effectiveness of children's books.

Unlike many domestic startups that rely on self-developed IPs which may be less recognizable to users, Fun Network takes a different approach by securing well-known IPs and partnering with publishers to acquire digital rights. This strategy ensures better recognition and engagement among children and parents alike. The fusion of digital copyright and industry is seen as a promising direction for the future of the publishing world.

Professor Xu Hongbo, chairman of Chuangda Capital, has long been interested in the digital publishing space. He believes the industry is on the verge of a major breakthrough, with the potential to reach a trillion-dollar market. With over two decades of experience in the TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications) sector, including roles at companies like SUN and BEA, he has been actively investing in promising startups since 2012. His portfolio includes projects such as gift presentations, part-time cats, super class schedules, F5 unmanned convenience stores, vertical and horizontal cultures, smart shopping, Takagi AI, and dot-meter technology.

Currently, Chuangda Capital focuses on three main investment areas: consumption upgrades, foreign language education, and forward-looking technologies such as AI, AR/VR, and blockchain. Professor Xu emphasizes the importance of combining science and culture to drive economic transformation. His firm has made strategic investments across the entire child education industry chain, from maternal care to K12 education, supporting leading companies in various sub-sectors.

Looking ahead, Zheng Hao, CEO of Fun Technology, aims to make the company the top brand in children's AR books within five years. With the children's book market growing rapidly—showing a compound annual growth rate of up to 9% and accounting for 16% of all book categories—the future looks bright. Factors such as the second-child policy are expected to further boost demand, ensuring continued growth in this sector.

VR will continue to cover the investment and financing activities of domestic VR/AR teams. Stay tuned for more updates!
