According to recent reports from *The Times of India*, India has decided to impose a ban on unmanned vehicles in an effort to safeguard local jobs amidst rising unemployment concerns. This decision was announced by Nitin Gadkari, India's Minister of Transport, in a statement released on July 25. Gadkari emphasized that the government is committed to protecting employment opportunities, particularly for workers who might be displaced by automated technologies.
India currently faces a significant unemployment challenge, with approximately 22,000 commercial drivers reportedly lacking work.
