You can get extra rewards like candy by walking with it. The player can make changes to the partner elf at any time.
According to the analysis in the previous code, only one elf can be a “partner†at a time. Although it is possible to take a walk for many times, the number of candies per day is limited. In addition, "partners" have a variety of states, such as medium-size, large-size, but also let it fly around you, or on your shoulders.
However, Niantic did not give a specific date when the system was on the line, but said "immediately." There is also no mention of the new tracking system update date.
