Samsung Introduces New Modeling Desktop PC with Modular Design

Tencent Digital (Compiler: Human) Samsung has just launched a desktop PC called ArtPC Pulse, although this ArtPC Pulse looks a bit similar to Apple's Mac Pro before, they all use a "trash can" cylindrical shape, inevitably There is some suspicion that people will "learn" from it. But compared with Mac Pro, ArtPC Pulse actually has some bigger highlights that the former doesn't have, such as modular design.

From an external point of view, Samsung's ArtPC Pulse and Apple Mac Pro's overall style is somewhat similar, and all are cylindrical design concepts, but the Mac Pro is closer to the "garbage bin," while the Samsung ArtPC Pulse looks like a " Gas tank."

Of course, the two are actually quite different in terms of design. For example, this Samsung ArtPC Pulse has designed a circle of colored LED indicators around the body. Like the previous Galaxy J2, it can display different notifications and messages in different colors. And this design of ArtPC Pulse basically continued this idea too, and can see the change of LED lamp of different color from any angle.

At the same time, LED lights are not the biggest feature of ArtPC Pulse. Samsung also equipped with a Harman Kardon high-quality speaker for this desktop PC, can provide users with a 360-degree stereo sound experience. Of course, if you are a desktop PC, this stereo effect may seem strange.

The final part is the modular design of ArtPC Pulse. Maybe you think that the modular design of ArtPC Pulse allows users to freely add a variety of different functional modules, but at present, ArtPC Pulse only supports the addition or deletion of 1TB hard disk modules, and can only be used in high-end versions of i7 processors. . It seems that Samsung does not seem to be fully committed to developing a modular design for ArtPC Pulse, so at least for now, this ArtPC Pulse is more like a conceptual design to illustrate the concept and is not suitable for large-scale sales.

For other configurations, ArtPC Pulse is basically a standard desktop PC, including an Intel Core i5/i7 processor, 8GB/16GB of running memory, and a 256GB SSD. Of course, as mentioned above, the i7 version can select 1TB of modular HDD hard disk modules. Finally ArtPC Pulse is equipped with AMD Radeon RX 460 graphics card.

In addition, Samsung did not announce more details of ArtPC Pulse. As for the price, ArtPC Pulse starts at 1199 US dollars (about 8080 yuan) and is expected to start accepting reservations sometime next week.
