The main project has been completed and passed the assessment by the five key responsible parties. All information is complete and ready for external plastering work.
Second, construction preparation:
Organizational preparation includes selecting a qualified external plastering team with high standards and discipline. The team is well-prepared and familiar with the drawings, specifications, and construction plans. A dedicated management team is in place to oversee the process.
Site preparation involves ensuring all necessary machinery, such as mixers and transport vehicles, are operational and fully equipped. Construction materials like sand, cement, lime paste, and finished products have been delivered and inspected for quality.
For the outer wall finishing, the chimney's exterior must be adjusted according to the required layout. Horizontal and vertical bars should be placed at least 200–250 mm away from corners, and the number of wall rods must meet the specified requirements.
Third, the operation process includes:
Applying a base layer of mortar, followed by two coats of a 2:1:8 cement-lime mixture. Each layer is applied evenly and compacted properly. Drip lines are installed on windows, balconies, and other areas to ensure proper water runoff. Separation strips are used where necessary to maintain neat edges and uniformity.
After the plastering is done, it’s essential to keep the surface moist for proper curing. This helps prevent cracking and ensures long-term durability.
Fourth, quality standards require that each layer adheres firmly to the substrate without any delamination or cracks. The surface should be smooth, clean, and uniformly colored, with straight and even lines. The drip lines must be consistent in width and depth, and the separation strips should be straight and smooth.
Fifth, finished product protection is crucial. Care should be taken when handling materials to avoid damaging the walls. Plaster layers must be protected from drying too quickly, and the area should remain clean to prevent contamination.
Sixth, common quality issues include empty drums, cracks, and uneven surfaces. These can be avoided by thoroughly cleaning the base before application, applying each layer correctly, and ensuring proper curing. Drip lines must be installed as per specifications, and any damage should be repaired promptly.
Seventh, safety management is a top priority. Workers must wear helmets and harnesses when working on the outer frame. No unauthorized dismantling of scaffolding or wall supports is allowed. Bamboo planks must be fully laid out and secured. Debris should never be thrown down from heights, and safety nets must remain intact. Regular inspections of the structure are necessary to identify and address any potential hazards.
Finally, workers should always be aware of their surroundings and report any dangers immediately. After completing each floor, debris should be cleared to prevent accidents. Following all safety protocols and instructions is essential to ensure a safe and efficient construction process.
