On February 28th, local time, the US authoritative magazine Consumer Reports published the latest annual car brand rankings. Through the evaluation of reliability and driving performance, German and Japanese auto brands still have an absolute advantage in the rankings, but Tesla Electric Motors has entered the top ten list this year, becoming the best car brand in the United States.
In the Consumer Car Report's list of the best car brands of the year, Audi won the second year, followed by Porsche, Lexus and BMW. Although most of the top companies are luxury car brands, mainstream car shoppers are also very concerned about the good cars in the ordinary cars, Subaru ranked fifth, followed by Kia and Mazda. Consumer Reports is an independent non-profit consumer organization that currently recommends all Mazda models and its tested 71% Kia models. 
Following Mazda is Tesla, the company ranked eighth. Tesla is the highest-ranking American car brand on the list this year, and this is the first time it has broken into the top ten positions. Buick's ranking Bitsra is two, they are the only two American car companies to enter the top ten list.
Other US automakers are not doing well. Fiat-Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge are still at the bottom, with Fiat bottoming out among all 31 brands, while Jeep is the penultimate and Dodge is 27th. Lincoln, Chevrolet and Ford ranked 15th and 17th with 21st place. According to the Consumer Report, these brands are “dragbling†in terms of reliability.
Due to the poor performance of the redesigned Tacoma, Toyota fell out of the top ten and fell from the eighth place last year to the 11th place. Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing at Consumer Reports, said in a statement: "Our annual analysis shows that developing one or two good cars is achievable, but the overall lineup of R&D is excellent. Cars are very difficult. American car brands are not performing well in terms of reliability. Some domestic brands are carrying on legacy products, and their performance is not as good as that of contemporary cars."
