The scope covers VRAR, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and "other cutting-edge technologies." It is reported that the investment target of the fund is mainly in the startup round of the seed round, and no more than B round investment.

Ten companies have already invested in the Samsung NEXT Fund, including: Converge Industries, Dashbot, Entry Point VR, Filament, Intezer, LiquidSky, Otto Radio, 2Sens, SafeDK and Virtru.

Last September, Samsung NEXT established a new office in Tel Aviv. So far Samsung NEXT has offices in Moutain View, Silicon Valley, New York, San Francisco, and South Korea. In 2017, Samsung Next will also establish more city sites worldwide.
